ABOUT ATLAS HEALTH ATLAS
Health is a patient-centered primary care practice built on the belief that great healthcare starts with genuine relationships. We're looking for a dedicated Medical Assistant to join our established team in Cordele. We put the patient first, care together, and do all with excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You'll work side by side with our provider and care team to deliver high-quality, efficient patient care every day. You'll be a core part of the patient experience, from the moment a patient is roomed to the moment they leave.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Room and assess patients as you obtain vital signs, chief complaints, and medical history Assist the provider during examinations and minor procedures Accurately document clinical encounters in ECW (eClinicalWorks) Prepare, clean, and stock exam rooms and medical instruments Administer medications and injections as directed Process lab orders, hospital admissions, and communicate results to patients Manage prescription refill requests and prior authorizations Handle correspondence — faxes, forms, letters, and memos Support front desk and billing functions as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
1+ year of MA or clinical experience (required) Certified Medical Assistant preferred but not required Experience with EMR systems: ECW a plus BLS Certification (required or must obtain within 30 days of hire) Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask under pressure Excellent written and verbal communication skills Genuine passion for patient care and working with people High school diploma or equivalent required
