Job Description

We are looking to hire a full-time Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. Located in the beautiful mountains of Hiawassee, GA, Synergy Health seeks to foster and promote the health and wellness of our community. Clinical team members assist in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician and/or physician's assistants, including preparing patients to be seen by the providers, and perform specific procedures with appropriate orientation and supervision:
  • Assists with patient phone calls, prescription refills, referrals, and prior authorizations.
  • Interviews patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height) and records information in patients' charts.
  • May be required to collect blood samples, tissue or other laboratory specimens and prepare them for testing.
  • Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets, and provider's instructions to patients.
  • Prepares treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping the rooms neat and clean.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures related to the practice.
  • Follows standard procedures and/or written instructions to perform job duties.
Demonstrates teamwork to ensure achievement of team, individual, and corporate goals. Provides support to team members and performs other duties are required
