Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), where your skills will directly impact patient care and clinic efficiency. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, and hospital-based units such as the PICU and Geriatrics. Your expertise in medical procedures, administrative support, and patient interaction will help create a seamless experience for patients and healthcare providers alike. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs with precision. Assist with clinical tasks such as administering medications, drawing X-rays, and supporting basic life support protocols. Support physicians and nurses by preparing examination rooms, sterilizing equipment, and managing inventory of medical supplies. Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient encounters accurately and ensure compliance with privacy standards. Conduct ICD coding for diagnoses and procedures to facilitate billing and insurance claims processing. Support emergency medicine scenarios at Level I and Level II trauma centers by providing urgent patient care assistance. Assist in specialized areas such as dermatology clinics, Geriatrics, Medical-Surgical units, or the PICU by applying relevant physiology and anatomy knowledge. Requirements Certified Medical Assistant credential from an accredited program; prior hospital or clinic experience highly preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Experience working in outpatient clinics or inpatient hospital settings; familiarity with Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Center environments is advantageous. Proficiency in EHR systems along with strong patient service skills to ensure compassionate care delivery. Ability to perform vital signs measurement, specimen collection, X-ray assistance, and basic emergency response procedures such as Basic Life Support (BLS). Demonstrated ability to work effectively in fast-paced environments like urgent care, internal medicine clinics, or hospital units including Geriatrics or PICU. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered care; adaptable to diverse clinical settings including medical-surgical units or OR support. Pay:
$16.00 - $23.00 per hour
