Paygrade:
E The offered salary for this position is $40,500 Please note: This position may require operating and driving a outreach vehicle. Please follow the link below to find information on how to obtain your GA MVR https://dds.georgia.gov/georgia-licenseid/general-license-topics/how-do-i-mvr-driving-history Join our dynamic Lawrenceville SURGE Sexual Health Clinic team and help make a difference in the health and well-being of our community! Under general supervision and following established clinical procedures, you'll work alongside a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality, patient-centered sexual health services. Job duties for this position include: Provide compassionate, culturally responsive care to a diverse patient population Collaborate with Medical Assistants, Laboratory Technicians, Nurse Practitioners, Registered Nurses, Physicians, and Prevention Program staff Obtain and document health histories for STI and PrEP patients Collect clinical specimens, including performing phlebotomy Process laboratory specimens accurately and efficiently Room patients and prepare exam rooms between visits Deliver STI, HIV, and prevention education to patients Assist with patient intake, registration, checkout, and appointment scheduling Support disease prevention and control efforts through coordination with STI and HIV Prevention programs Maintain a welcoming environment focused on excellent customer service and patient experience Participate in community outreach events and health initiatives as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support clinic operations and program goals
Minimum:
Associate degree in a related field from an accredited college or university; or High School diploma/GED and one (1) year of experience in medical assisting.
Preferred:
2 or more years performing blood draws/phlebotomy duties in a healthcare setting Experience working in Public Health Experience working in both front & back office Medical Assistant capacities Experience in a community health role Fluency in both English & Spanish GNR Public Health does not accept resumes without a fully completed employment application.
