Our practice offers medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology services with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant with a strong background in dermatology. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader who is passionate about patient care, team development, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support back office staff, including medical assistants Oversee daily clinical operations to ensure efficient patient flow Assist dermatologists during exams and procedures (biopsies, excisions, cosmetic treatments) Train, mentor, and evaluate staff performance Ensure exam rooms are properly prepared, stocked, and compliant with safety standards Monitor and maintain clinical inventory and supplies Coordinate scheduling and communication between providers and staff Ensure accurate EMR documentation and regulatory compliance Educate patients on treatment plans and post-procedure care Resolve workflow issues and support a positive team environment
Qualifications:
Minimum 3+ years of supervisory experience in a dermatology setting (required) 3-5+ years of back office medical assistant experience (dermatology preferred) Strong knowledge of dermatologic procedures and treatments Proficiency with EMR systems Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
