Job Description

Seeking a certified medical assistant for a busy gastroenterology practice. This position includes a competitive salary and benefits as well as an opportunity to grow in your skills. Clinical Duties (may include, but not limited to): Taking medical histories Explaining treatment procedures to patients Preparing patients for examinations Assisting the physician during examinations Instructing patients about medication and special diets Preparing and administering medications Transmitting prescription refills as directed Administrative Duties (may include, but not limited to): Using computer applications Answering telephones Welcoming patients Updating and filing patient medical records Scheduling appointments Arranging for hospital admissions and laboratory services Knowledge of eClinicalWorks EMR a plus.
