Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality of care. This position is essential in various medical settings, including Level I Trauma Centers, urgent care facilities, and specialty practices such as dermatology and internal medicine. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring they are clean and stocked with necessary supplies. Record patient histories, vital signs, and other relevant information in electronic health records. Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patients for adverse reactions. Perform basic life support techniques when necessary. Educate patients about treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care. Maintain knowledge of medical terminology and physiology to effectively communicate with medical staff. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology related to various specialties including hospital medicine, urgent care, and dermatology. Strong understanding of physiology knowledge to assist in patient assessments. Experience with medication administration protocols and practices. Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) techniques confidently. Familiarity with electronic health record systems for accurate documentation. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
