Job Summary and Responsibilities As our CMA with Limited X-ray at CommonSpirit Medical Group - Orthopedics - Ringgold, you will perform general and complex radiographic procedures to produce high-quality diagnostic images within your certification.

Every day you will independently assess, perform, and document a broad range of imaging procedures, ensuring patient identification, comfort, and safety. You'll maintain equipment and a clean work area, complete all necessary charging and records, and participate in the department's call schedule and quality initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate competency across all patient age groups, adhere to established standards, and exhibit excellent attention to detail, patient care, and quality imaging. Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protects patients, self and other staff from radiation hazards. Take X-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety, which involves setting up and operating radiographic equipment used in the medical diagnosis and/or treatment of patients. Position patients and take X-ray of specific parts of the patients' body as requested by the physician. Process film and check X-ray for clarity of image; retake when necessary, and distribute X-ray to appropriate medical staff. Perform general patient care by following established standards and procedures. Obtain and record vital signs including but not limited to, blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration, height, weight, drug allergies, and current medications and presenting problem. Job Requirements Required High School Diploma required Completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course or Exam In the state of GA, completion of a six hour radiation safety course In the state of TN, be a Graduate of an accredited Limited Radiology Technology training program required CMA or
