Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient service and support within our office, particularly in the areas of OB/GYN. As a Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting healthcare providers in delivering high-quality patient care within a Office environment. Duties We have 2 locations and you will be required to work at both locations Ooltewah and Ringgold. Provide direct patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and assisting with procedures. Utilize medical terminology effectively to communicate with patients and healthcare professionals. Assist in the management of clinic operations to ensure a smooth workflow and optimal patient experience. Collaborate with healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care in hospital medicine settings. Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and medical equipment. Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care instructions as directed by physicians. Previous experience in a medical assistant role is preferred but not required; training will be provided.\EMR program Athena. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to OB/GYN and is advantageous. Excellent patient service skills with a focus on compassionate care. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment within a Medical Office. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and scheduling purposes. We use Athena Health One. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and staff effectively. A commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA regulations.
