In this vital role, you will serve as a key patient care provider, supporting rheumatologists in delivering exceptional outpatient services. Your expertise will help streamline clinic operations, ensure accurate patient assessments, and contribute to positive health outcomes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your clinical skills and compassionate care make a real difference. Duties Assist rheumatologists with patient intake, including gathering comprehensive medical histories and documenting symptoms related to autoimmune and musculoskeletal conditions Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to support accurate diagnosis and treatment planning Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining a professional environment Manage electronic health record (EHR) systems efficiently by documenting clinical notes, updating patient information, and coding diagnoses using ICD codes accurately Administer medications as prescribed under physician supervision, including injections or other treatments while adhering to safety protocols Facilitate communication between patients and providers by answering questions, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing education on disease management and medication adherence Experience Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant in outpatient clinics or specialty practices such as Rheumatology, Dermatology, or Internal Medicine Prior involvement in hospital or emergency medicine settings like urgent care or Geriatrics enhances your ability to handle diverse patient needs effectively Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration is essential for success in this role Experience with EHR systems for documentation and patient data management is required Join us in providing compassionate care with precision and professionalism.
