About Us:
VitalCare Express is a multispecialty walk-in clinic offering urgent care, primary care, gynecology and nephrology services. We are committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality healthcare in a dynamic, patient-focused environment. We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team and support our mission of providing excellent patient care.
Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant will assist providers with patient care and office procedures while ensuring an efficient workflow in the clinic. The ideal candidate will have clinical and administrative expertise, with proficiency in phlebotomy, injections, and the use of E-Clinical Works (ECW).
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, assisting providers as needed Perform triage and obtain vital signs Collect and maintain patient documents while ensuring confidentiality Collect routine laboratory specimens, including phlebotomy, urinalysis, and oral swabs Start IVs and perform various clinical, aseptic, and basic lab procedures Document medical interventions accurately and promptly in the EMR system (E-Clinical Works preferred) Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards Perform office procedures, including general administrative duties, and operate medical equipment Assist with maintaining a clean, stocked, and safe environment for patients and staff Maintain an understanding of and enforce standard healthcare regulatory requirements Ensure HIPAA and OSHA compliance Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred. X-ray certification preferred 1-2 years of experience in a medical office, urgent care, or outpatient setting preferred Proficiency in E-Clinical Works (ECW) is highly preferred Strong venipuncture and injection skills Proficient in starting IVs preferred CPR and AED certification required Strong organizational and multitasking skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities Spanish speaking-preferred

$16.00 - $19.00 per hour
