Job Description

Ridge Way Mental Health Services is a behavioral health clinic dedicated to providing high-quality intergrative and innovative medical solutions. We are currently in search for a dynamic and skilled
FULL TIME
medical assistant with expertise in phlebotomy, and a strong willingness to learn and master the behavioural health world. Join our team and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment where your skills will be valued and developed.
Responsibilities:
Answer incoming phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and directing calls as appropriate. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments while maintaining an organized provider schedule. Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits prior to appointments. Perform phlebotomy procedures with precision and care, ensuring patient comfort and safety is preferred. Manage patient flow to ensure timely appointments Communicate with insurance companies regarding medication and treatment approvals Administer medications and injections as directed by the provider Manage patient communication via phone and EMR portal Support inventory management, ordering supplies, and restocking rooms Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality in all interactions
Experience:
  • Previous 1-2 years experience working as a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomist in a clinical setting is preferred.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance plans, Medicare, and Medicaid.
  • Ability to verify patient eligibility and benefits prior to appointments.
  • Experience obtaining prior authorizations
  • Familiarity with basic life support techniques.
  • Proficiency in medication administration and dosage calculations.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to provide quality patient service.
  • Ability to code medical procedures accurately for billing purposes if needed.
