BILINGUAL MEDICAL ASSISTANT

This paid position is vital in ensuring smooth clinic operations, accurate documentation, and high-quality patient interactions across outpatient and inpatient settings. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including collecting medical histories and documenting symptoms in multiple languages Measure and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately Support clinical procedures by preparing patients for examinations, administering medications as directed, and assisting with minor procedures Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems efficiently to document patient information, ICD coding, and treatment plans Conduct basic life support (BLS) procedures when necessary and respond promptly to emergency situations within the clinic or hospital environment Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and coordinating follow-up care Support hospital medicine units, emergency departments, or specialty clinics such as dermatology or geriatrics with administrative tasks and patient care assistance Qualifications Fluent in at least two languages with excellent verbal and written communication skills in both (e.g., English and Spanish) Prior experience working in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics preferred Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, ICD coding, and medication administration required Experience with EHR systems and medical administrative support essential for efficient documentation and workflow management Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred but not mandatory Previous hospital experience including Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center settings highly desirable Familiarity with X-ray procedures, emergency medicine protocols, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or OR (Operating Room) experience advantageous Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in fast-paced environments such as Geriatrics or Medical-Surgical units Join us to make a meaningful difference by providing compassionate bilingual care that enhances patient experiences across diverse healthcare settings.
