Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Certified Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team at Advanced Health Solutions. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care, support clinical operations, and assist healthcare providers across diverse medical settings. Your expertise will help ensure smooth clinic flow, accurate documentation, and compassionate service to every patient. Responsibilities Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse. Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as medication administration, wound care, and basic life support during emergencies. Support diagnostic procedures including X-ray preparation and basic imaging as needed within outpatient or inpatient settings. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems accurately by documenting patient encounters, ICD coding, and updating medical histories. Provide patient service by answering questions, explaining treatment plans, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Prepare examination rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with minor procedures across specialties such as dermatology, internal medicine, and emergency medicine. Support hospital medicine units or trauma centers with inpatient care duties including vital signs monitoring and patient mobility assistance. Requirements Valid certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is a plus. Bilingual Spanish speaking is a plus Prior experience working in outpatient clinics, hospital settings, or emergency departments; experience in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and medication administration protocols. Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and medical-surgical workflows. Ability to perform clinical duties such as taking vital signs, assisting with X-ray procedures, and supporting emergency medicine teams. Experience working with diverse patient populations, including geriatrics, is a plus. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service excellence; ability to thrive in fast-paced environments like urgent care or hospital medicine units.
