Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a Family Medicine clinical setting. This position requires a strong understanding of patient service, basic life support, and the ability to work effectively in outpatient environments. Duties Perform routine clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and documenting medical histories. Administer medications as directed by physicians and monitor patient responses. Provide education to patients regarding their health conditions, treatment plans, and medication usage. Maintain accurate patient records and coding for billing purposes, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Support the healthcare team by coordinating patient appointments, managing medical supplies, and maintaining a clean work environment. Utilize knowledge of physiology to assist in patient assessments and care planning. Qualifications Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training is preferred. Familiarity with coding practices is a plus. Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and empathy. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments such as clinics. Previous experience in an outpatient setting is desirable but not required. A commitment to ongoing professional development and learning within the medical field.
