Job Details Click to go Back to Job Listings May 22, 2026, 11:21:04 AM HST Title of Position Certified Medical Assistant - Kuakini Primary Care Clinic Work Hours Regular Full-Time (Req. # 2026-163) Usually scheduled Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Daily hours may vary depending on assignments; the work schedule may be modified subject to operational needs of the department. Occasionally overtime may be required. May occasionally be required to work before or after regular office hours. Subsidiary Kuakini Support Services, Inc. Description of Position Performs medical and administrative duties in an outpatient clinic and urgent care setting. Performs patient care duties and procedures under the supervision and guidance of a licensed nurse or physician, including taking vital signs, assisting with patient examinations, specimen collection, routine office laboratory and diagnostic tests and administering medication or treatments. Performs administrative and office duties including patient registration, scheduling appointments, coding and filling out insurance claims, entering and filing records, coordinating billing, and arranging referrals, laboratory services or hospital admission. Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma, or equivalent, required. Certificate from an accredited Medical Assistant program required. Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or CMA (AAMA)s required. Two (2) years previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinic or medical office preferred. One (1) year work experience with medical office billing procedures, filing insurance claims, and medical billing codes is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS), certification required with retraining once every two years.
