Full Job Description Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
  • Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
  • Prepare patients for medical tests and procedures
  • Administer basic life support in emergency situations
  • Perform basic coding and billing tasks
  • Check the insurance verification of eligibility
  • Provide patient education on medical conditions and treatments
  • Assist with patient care, including dressing wounds and changing bandages
  • Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
Medical Assistant Requirements:
  • Proficient in medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
  • Ability to accurately take and record vital signs
  • Medical assistant experience working in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred
  • Basic life support certification required
  • Knowledge of coding and billing practices is a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
