Job Description
We are seeking an energetic and highly motivated individual to fill the integral position of medical assistant in our office. This individual will have the opportunity to be part of a great team. We prefer someone with experience in the clinic setting and ideally with leadership skills. If selected this individual will have the following responsibilities: 1. Helping triage phone calls and sort faxes 2. Scheduling new and follow-up appointments 3. Scheduling imaging procedures. 4. Checking in patients. 5. Obtaining pertinent health history (template available) 6. Obtaining vital signs. 7. Helping to maintain patients' electronic medical records. 8. Qualifications Proven medical administrative support experience with direct patient care in outpatient or clinic settings Proficiency with EHR systems, medical terminology, vital signs, intake, and patient rooming BLS certification; ability to perform pre-examination preparation and basic life support Strong patient service skills, health record management, and clinic scheduling Knowledge of physiology concepts; hospital/clinic environment familiarity; ability to handle high-volume flow Relevant clinical exposure in outpatient/clinic experiences; comfortable with ambulatory care workflows
