Medical Assistant

Interested in working with a fast-paced, newly established medical clinic in the Kawaihae/Puako area? We are looking for an enthusiastic and organized medical assistant to join our medical practice.

Hours:

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm Saturday 8:30am-2pm Responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Prepares patient charts for scheduled and walk-in appointments. Interview patient and document basic medical history including vital signs such as height, weight, temperature, blood oxygenation, pulse and blood pressure Administer immunizations and injections per providers' orders and document in EHR. Perform procedures such as visual acuity testing, EKGs, suture removal, spirometry testing, etc as ordered by the provider Send out/follow up on referrals, requisitions, orders, etc. Dispense/refill medications under provider supervision.. Document all care provided to patient in a timely manner making sure CPT codes are entered correctly. Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments. Assist in maintaining clinical supply inventory. Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent. 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant. Experience in an urgent care setting preferred but willing to train. Basic knowledge in medical terminology. Experience with various computer applications and EMR. Must be able to multi-task, detail oriented, and a team player. •Subject to change
