Overview River Family Health is a family practice clinic seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to perform a range of clinical and administrative duties in support of providers and patient care. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in medical assisting, familiarity with clinic workflows, and a consistent, team-oriented approach to patient care. This position is responsible for supporting efficient daily operations while maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and patient service.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Responsibilities:
Greet and room patients, supporting timely and efficient patient flow Obtain and document patient medical histories, vital signs, and relevant clinical information Prepare charts prior to appointments and obtain necessary records from outside facilities Perform clinical procedures including injections, vaccinations, venipuncture, EKGs, and suture or staple removal in accordance with established protocols and provider direction Assist providers during examinations and procedures Communicate test results and follow-up instructions to patients as directed Respond to patient inquiries and support ongoing care coordination Provide patient education under provider guidance Schedule appointments and maintain accurate, up-to-date medical records Ensure adherence to clinical guidelines, patient safety standards, and HIPAA regulations Skills and Qualifications Certified Medical Assistant (CMA or CCMA) or equivalent certification required 1-2 years of clinical experience in a medical setting preferred Phlebotomy knowledge and experience preferred Working knowledge of medical office workflows, functions, and clinical procedures Strong time management and multitasking skills Effective communication and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on patient care and teamwork High level of organization and attention to detail Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) preferred Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required Medical assistant certification Benefits Health, Vision, and Dental insurance HSA options Paid time off Equal Opportunity Employer River Family Health is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
