I'm going to be honest with you and see how that works out. My name is Jacob and you should let me give you money to work here. If you like the weird experiment I'm running, apply. If not, go work somewhere else where you get your soul sucked out by being yelled at all day by some punk medicine jockey. We here at Jemericus keep our soul-sucking to a responsible minimum. Will there be yelling, of course, but only fun yelling and sometimes the sarcastic kind. We are looking for a full-time Medical Assistant . Our hours are 7am til 2pm Monday through Friday. Those hours are good, those are good hours to have. You only work 35 hours a week but you get paid for 40. I'm not letting the stupid AI tell me slang to use anymore. Great for people who have families and friends they actually like. Terrible for people actively trying to avoid their spouse, kids and friends. Here's how the day usually goes: You help schedule patients in the morning, then roll out with the providers to Assisted Living Facilities. You take vitals, scribble notes, assist however needed, then head back to the office to chart and handle phone calls from facilities and patients (some of whom may be angry, confused, or Jacob). It's honestly one of the more relaxed MA roles out there. You're not trapped in a clinic all day getting yelled at in person. Most days you're back by 11:30-12:00, finish your notes, and leave at 2. We don't pay the absolute most, but we also don't expect the absolute most. .

Pay:

$19.00 - $22.00 per hour Our current goal is to keep things reasonable so everyone leaves at 2pm feeling like they actually accomplished something instead of wanting to set their scrubs on fire. This setup is perfect for people with families or anyone who enjoys having a life after lunch. If you love being at the office though, feel free to hang out… you'll just be hanging out with Jacob, which is its own special reward.

Experience in a healthcare setting is a big plus Solid knowledge of medical terminology and documentation Comfortable using EHR systems (we use Athena) Can remain polite on the phone even when the caller is losing their mind Must have a personality that can handle Jacob on a daily basis
