Medical Assistant

Job Summary We are a busy dermatology practice that is accepting applications from dependable, friendly, detail oriented medical assistants for a part time position. We are seeking an individual that is preferably RMA or CMA accredited and has great organizational, triage, and time management skills. Pre-PA or Pre-MD encouraged to apply regardless of certification. For this position you will be working with our team rooming, prepping, and taking patient medical histories. You will also be assisting in surgeries, performing minor office procedures and other basic clinic duties. This is a part time position Hours will be Monday thru Wednesday 7:50 AM to 5:00 PM & Thursday 7:50 AM to 12:00 PM. Excluding office holidays and when providers are out of the office. Our office is closed daily from noon to 1:30 PM for lunch/catch-up time. Once monthly or once every other month you will be traveling to McCall to assist one of our providers in a Friday clinic. You will be paid for your travel time as well as mileage compensation based on current year rates. Dermatology experience and bilingual are a plus! Please provide your resume, cover letter and salary requirements via indeed site. Responsibilities and Duties Rooming, prepping, and taking patient histories. Prepping and assisting in surgeries. Performing minor office procedures under supervision of physician/provider. Performing injections, suture removals, wound checks/dressings. Coordinating prior authorizations and refills for medication. Scheduling and confirming surgical procedure appointments. Educating and communicating information to patient under provider supervision. Stocking and maintaining exam rooms and nursing station. Other duties as assigned. Must be willing to travel to McCall for monthly Friday clinic (monthly to every other month) Qualifications and Skills Must be a team player and have great people skills. Attention to detail. Great organizational, triage, and time management skills. Experience with electronic medical record. Bilingual and/or Dermatology experience is a plus!
