In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support across outpatient and inpatient settings, including specialized areas such as dermatology, emergency medicine, and hospital medicine. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth clinical operations, accurate documentation, and exceptional patient service. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical history and documenting vital signs with precision. Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures across various specialties such as dermatology, geriatrics, pediatrics (PICU), and surgical units. Administer medications and injections following established protocols while ensuring patient safety through proper medication administration techniques. Operate EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems efficiently to document patient encounters, ICD coding, and treatment plans accurately. Conduct basic diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging and assist with emergency medicine interventions in Level I Trauma Center environments. Support hospital medicine teams by monitoring patient status, updating records, and coordinating care transitions for inpatient units. Maintain a clean, organized clinical environment adhering to infection control standards and safety regulations. Provide exceptional patient service by addressing questions, explaining procedures, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Assist with clinical documentation related to anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to support accurate recordkeeping. Support administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, managing supplies, and verifying insurance information as part of comprehensive medical administrative support. Experience Proven experience working in outpatient clinics or hospital settings with exposure to dermatology, urgent care, or emergency medicine environments. Hands-on experience with EHR systems and proficiency in ICD coding for accurate documentation. Knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols. Experience supporting inpatient units or Level I/II trauma centers is highly desirable. Familiarity with X-ray procedures or OR (Operating Room) experience adds value to your candidacy. Prior work in hospital medicine or medical-surgical units demonstrates adaptability across diverse clinical settings. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus.
