36 hours per week (No weekends) Job Responsibilities The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) plays a key role in supporting patient flow and delivering high-quality care in a multifaceted clinical environment. This position performs delegated patient care tasks for an assigned patient population, along with administrative duties to support efficient clinic operations. Under the direct supervision of the Practice Manager, Director, Medical Oncologist, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant, theCMA/RMA:
Assists clinicians in providing patient care using the full scope of their training Performs both clinical and administrative functions to support patient care delivery Facilitates smooth patient flow throughout the clinic Conducts triage phone calls and coordinates communication between patients, caregivers, providers, and care teams Provides clerical and administrative support, including documentation coordination and supply ordering Ensures all responsibilities are performed in accordance with organizational policies and procedures This role requires the application of specialized knowledge, sound judgment, and clinical skills to deliver an excellent patient experience. Reporting structure and performance evaluations are managed by the Practice Manager and/or Director.Job Qualifications Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of experience within the last 3 years in a comparable rolePreferred:
At least 3 years of Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or clinic setting Relevant specialty experience strongly preferredEducation:
High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of one of the following: An approved Medical Assistant training program , OR An unapproved training program plus successful certification through AAMA, AMT, or another recognized national certifying body, OR A U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program Completion of a relevant clinical programCertifications:
Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association (AHA) required Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or equivalent certification requiredSpecial Skills:
Strong multitasking ability across both clinical and administrative functions Excellent organizational and communication skillsTraining:
