GENERAL SUMMARY
We are seeking a reliable and patient-focused Bilingual Medical Assistant (Spanish
  • speaking required) to support our clinical team.
This role is essential in ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate clinical documentation, and high-quality patient care, particularly for our Spanish-speaking population. These duties are to be performed in a highly confidential manner, in accordance with the mission, values and behaviors of Insight Hospital and Medical Center. Employees are further expected to provide a high quality of care, service, and kindness toward all patients, staff, physicians, volunteers and guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Room patients, obtain vital signs, and document medical history in the EMR (e.g., Cerner, Epic) Assist providers during examinations and procedures Serve as a Spanish-English Interpreter for patients during visits Coordinate patient care, including referrals, imaging, and follow-ups Manage patient communications (phone calls, messages, results) Prepare and maintain exam rooms and clinical supplies Assist with prior authorizations and insurance verification as needed Maintain compliance with HIPPA and clinical protocols
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred Fluent in Spanish and English (required) Current certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred minimum 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred (specialty experience a plus) Strong EMR proficiency and computer skills Excellent communication and organizational skills Skills & Competencies Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Strong attention to detail and accuracy Compassionate, patient-centered approach Effective multitasking and time management Team-oriented with a proactive mindset Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary (based on experience) Paid Sick Time
