We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team at MAIA gynecology , in Downers Grove, IL. Position Overview:
Your primary role is to provide exceptional patient care by creating a comfortable, judgment-free environment for women's healthcare visits. Understanding that many patients experience anxiety or discomfort with medical appointments, you'll use your empathetic communication skills to build trust and provide reassurance. Key responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, supporting clinical workflow, performing basic medical procedures like phlebotomy, coordinating laboratory services, and ensuring patients receive all necessary follow-up instructions and referrals. Set the tone for a patient to have a good experience Assess the reason for the visit so you can make sure the doctor will have everything she will need for that patient's visit Checking blood pressure Update medication lists Drawing blood Giving injections Sending labs Making sure the patient leaves with all orders and referrals needed Sending appointment reminders Keeping rooms clean and inviting Keeping the doctor on time so patients are not kept waiting Ordering supplies when needed We believe in investing in great people, regardless of their background. This Position Is Suitable If You:
