Medical Assistant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support their medical team. The role involves preparing examination rooms, escorting patients, assisting with examinations and procedures, performing tests, managing patient flow, updating records, and coordinating with various departments to ensure smooth operations. Key Responsibilities Prepare examination rooms and ensure cleanliness and sterilization. Escort patients to exam rooms and collect vital information. Assist physicians during exams and procedures. Perform Point of Care testing and administer injections. Manage patient appointments and maintain records using EPIC. Coordinate with pharmacies, labs, and imaging as required. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Experience as a Medical Assistant or in clinical settings. Problem-solving skills and ability to administer injections and perform EKGs. Ability to take manual blood pressure. Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.

Preferred:

Experience with EPIC systems. Experience Some medical assistant experience required. Clinical and problem-solving experience necessary. Skills Technical proficiency in administering injections and performing EKGs. Effective communication and patient interaction skills. Ability to manage patient flow and information accurately.

Additional Requirements Hours:

Monday to Friday 8:00am - 7:30pm, Saturdays 8:00am - 1:30pm. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
