Overview As a vital bridge between patient care and administrative efficiency, the Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) ensures seamless practice operations. They provide comprehensive support by managing patient flow, recording vitals, and assisting with procedures, while expertly handling EHR systems and front-desk tasks. - American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA) Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
- American Allied Health (AAH) Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
- National Association for Health Professionals (NAHP) Basic Life Support (BLS)
- American Heart Association (AHA) (Required within 30 days) Education H.
Responsibilities Key Responsibilities & Competencies Patient Intake & Rooming:
Collect chief complaint, family/social/surgical history, and perform medication reconciliation.Clinical Procedures:
Perform urine catheterizations, bladder scanning, suture/staple removal, cast application/removal, and diagnostic testing at the point of care.Medication & Orders:
Administer vaccines/medications and manage prescription refills per protocol.Telephone & Admin:
Manage patient calls, coordinate referrals/testing, and complete check-in/check-out.Patient Education:
Provide written instructions and condition-specific education.Documentation:
Maintain accurate records within the EMR.Safety:

Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $18.33per hour- $29.
