Medical Assistant

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and administrative support within our facility. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, patient service, and the ability to work effectively in both front office and back-office settings. Experience in podiatry or orthopedics is highly desirable. Duties Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures. Perform intake assessments, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history. Administer medications as directed by physicians and ensure proper documentation. Utilize EHR systems for accurate patient record management. Provide excellent patient service by addressing inquiries and ensuring a comfortable environment. Support the healthcare team in various clinical tasks, including ICD coding and understanding anatomy and physiology. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the clinical area. Collaborate with other medical and clerical staff to ensure compliance. Assist with X-ray procedures as needed. Requirements Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in a clinical setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding is essential. Familiarity with EHR systems for efficient patient management. Experience in podiatry, orthopedics, is preferred. Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service. Ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Previous experience in front and back-office duties is a plus.
