This position primarily includes the following but are not limited to: prior authorizations of testing and medications, rooming patients, taking medical history, updating medication lists, sending medication refills to pharmacies through electronic medical records as directed by a provider, completing Disability/FMLA paper work as necessary, prepping charts for next appointments as well as assisting a provider as needed. Scribe skills are a plus; or willingness to learn. Experience and high quality performance is expected. Opportunities for medical nursing supervisory and managerial roles exist since the manager is planning relocation out of state later on in the year. Medical office experience preferred as well as Medical Assistant/LPN/RN Certification. Excellent communication, both written and verbal and listening skills a must. Proficiency with standard office equipment and software such as electronic health records a plus. Management supports career advancement.
