Job Description

The Center for Sleep Medicine is an AASM-accredited, 100% employee-owned company. We are seeking detail-oriented and compassionate Telehealth Medical Assistants (CMA/CCMA/NCMA/RMA) to join our growing team in Naperville . This Telehealth Medical Assistant role focuses on administrative and virtual care support , with very limited in-person patient interaction . The Telehealth Medical Assistant will play a key role in supporting patients with DME therapy, including their engagement efforts, particularly for patients using PAP (Positive Airway Pressure) devices.
Schedule:
Monday - Thursday (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM)

Key Responsibilities:
Provide clinical support to patients requiring additional assistance via telehealth appointments Conduct patient sessions via telehealth to support DME usage, and adherence Educate patients on proper device usage and the importance of compliance Guide patients step-by-step through device setup and troubleshooting Address patient questions and concerns with professionalism and empathy Monitor patient progress and identify barriers to adherence Reinforce care plans and provider instructions during patient interactions Communicate patient needs, concerns, or escalations to appropriate clinical staff or providers Accurately document all patient interactions, education, and outcomes in the medical record Maintain timely and complete documentation to support billing Ensure compliance with organizational policies and healthcare regulations Assist with tracking patient participation and follow-up needs
Education & Experience:
Required:
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant (certifying bodies:
AAMA/NHA/NCCT/AMT
) Strong communication and patient education skills Ability to manage phone and video patient interactions effectively Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality
Preferred:
Experience in sleep medicine, PAP therapy, or respiratory care Experience with DME Familiarity with RPM Experience with telehealth or remote patient engagement This opportunity offers competitive compensation, a four-day work week , and a generous benefits package that includes sleep center
