Job Description
Room patients and obtain/document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies. Prepare patients for examinations and assist physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners with procedures. Perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, specimen collection, rapid testing, and other clinical duties within scope of practice. Administer vaccines and medications as directed by providers. Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Clean, stock, and prepare exam rooms and maintain clinical supplies. Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, prescription requests, and patient follow-up. Verify insurance information and assist with patient check-in/check-out when needed. Provide excellent customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Support clinic workflow to ensure efficient patient care.
