Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform clinical and administrative tasks efficiently. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting physicians and healthcare providers by ensuring smooth clinic operations, delivering compassionate patient service, and maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene. Duties Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations by preparing examination rooms and handing necessary instruments or supplies. Take vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration rates accurately and record patient information in medical records. Collect specimens for laboratory testing, prepare samples appropriately, and ensure proper documentation. Manage administrative tasks including scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and handling correspondence. Provide patients with instructions regarding medications, treatments, or follow-up care in a clear and empathetic manner. Ensure clinical areas are clean, sanitized, and compliant with health regulations at all times. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in accordance with privacy laws and organizational policies. Experience Prior experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar clinical support role is preferred but not mandatory; relevant training programs are acceptable. Knowledge of medical terminology, basic clinical procedures, and infection control protocols is essential. Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems to document patient interactions accurately. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients of diverse backgrounds. Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining attention to detail. Certification as a Medical Assistant (e.g., CMA or RMA) is advantageous but not required; on-the-job training will be provided for qualified candidates.
