Medical Assistant

Medical Assistant - Internal Medicine Palos Hills, IL (105th & South Roberts Road) Mon AND Fri 12-5 PM | Sat 10 AM-1:30 PM This position is an excellent opportunity for nursing students, pre-PA, pre-med students, and individuals pursuing careers in healthcare to gain valuable hands-on clinical experience in a supportive outpatient setting. You will work closely with an experienced physician and clinical team, gaining exposure to patient care, workflow management, and essential clinical skills. Many of our previous team members have gone on to gain admission into PA, NP, and medical schools, making this a strong foundation for those building clinical experience hours. As a key member of the team, the medical assistant will support both clinical and administrative operations to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities include:

Rooming patients and assisting with patient check-in and flow Obtaining and documenting vital signs Administering injections and vaccines Performing point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, urinalysis, rapid tests) Assisting with basic clinical tasks and patient care Supporting front desk duties, including scheduling and patient communication Maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment Ideal candidates are: Motivated, reliable, and eager to learn Professional in demeanor and communication Interested in gaining hands-on clinical experience Able to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient setting Able to commit to at least one year with the clinic Prior experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
