Medical Assistant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality healthcare services. Key responsibilities include measuring and recording vital signs, ensuring accurate documentation in the EMR, assisting in patient examinations, and maintaining medical supplies and equipment. Key Responsibilities Measures and records vital signs (weight, height, blood pressure, etc.). Ensures accurate and timely documentation into the EMR. Assists medical staff with patient examinations. Maintains supplies, equipment, and stocks, and sterilizes instruments. Maintains confidentiality of patient and organization information. Participates in development activities and maintains affiliations with medical assistant associations. Commitment to preventative health care programs and team-based approach. Front office duties including reception, patient check-in/check-out, and electronic scheduling. May perform routine screening tests and draw patient blood samples. Prepares and administers ordered injectable medications and immunizations. Changes dressings, applies bandages, removes sutures, and performs other first aid procedures. Assists patients with scheduling internal/external referrals. Certain clients and health centers may require travel. Qualifications MA experience, preferably in family practice. MA diploma/certification is preferred. Additional Requirements Certain clients and health centers may require travel.
