Job Description

MD SkinCenter is looking for a part time certified medical assistant . The position will include direct patient care and administrative work.

Work Schedule:
Tuesday-Thursday The right fit for this position is an individual who: is professional and detail-oriented has excellent customer service skills and treats all patients with courtesy, respect, and compassion has excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate in English, both written and spoken has excellent time management and organizational skills is flexible and able to multi-task is a dependable team player is willing to learn is able to type accurately has good hand-eye coordination The position will include but not be limited to the following responsibilities: room patients and obtain and document vital signs, lab results, patient histories, medication lists, and other pertinent patient data assist providers with treatments and procedures under the direction of the provider or nurse, perform patient care tasks including but not limited to injections, wound care, and prescription refills prepare exam rooms, lab, procedure trays, and materials operate and maintain medical and lab equipment operate office equipment such as computers, copiers, fax machines, and scanners order and maintain supplies communicate with patients, other staff, pharmacies, or other providers' offices manage medical records, providers' schedules, and other information in the EMR perform other duties specified by Manager or designee maintain patient confidentiality, specifically HIPAA protocols understand and comply with OSHA policies and procedures Required qualifications: high school diploma or equivalent certified/registered medical assistant (graduated from or enrolled in an accredited program) current CPR certification basic computer and typing skills (using correct hand placement on the keyboard, min 40WPM) prior experience working in a fast-paced medical clinic setting prior experience with electronic medical records systems able to interact positively, effectively, and in accordance with HIPAA requirements with patients, staff, and third parties Wages will depend on experience and ability.

High school or equivalent
Pay:
$19.00 - $26.00 per hour
