Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and patient-focused Medical Assistant to support both front and back-office operations in a fast-paced clinical healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, administrative responsibilities, and clinical procedures while maintaining excellent communication and teamwork with patients and staff. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative outpatient setting serving patients ages 2 and older. Responsibilities Greet, room, and prepare patients for provider visits in a professional and courteous manner Schedule appointments and assist with patient communications Answer and direct incoming phone calls appropriately Record patient vital signs and medical information accurately Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and assist with laboratory procedures Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as needed Perform Point of Care Testing (POCT) as required Assist with EKG testing when needed Maintain accurate documentation in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems Support front-office operations including patient fee collection Collaborate with providers and healthcare staff to maintain efficient clinic workflow Ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures, and patient confidentiality standards Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience required (externship experience not included) Experience with phlebotomy/venipuncture required Recent experience with patient scheduling, rooming, and recording vital signs required Strong computer, communication, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team-oriented environment High attention to detail and professionalism Preferred Qualifications Medical Assistant Certification preferred Occupational Health experience strongly preferred Experience with Athena EMR preferred EKG testing experience preferred Recent Point of Care Testing experience preferred Current BLS or CPR certification preferred Additional Information Patient population includes ages 2+ Fee collection responsibilities included Outpatient/Dispensing Health Center environment Does not participate in HomeMed services For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-862-1203.
