Medical Assistant

Job Summary Our client is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Assistant responsible for ensuring smooth operations at the front desk and providing support in back-office and clinical duties. The primary goal is to deliver quality and efficient patient care. Key Responsibilities Perform standard check-in and check-out procedures for patients. Complete patient registration and appointment scheduling. Verify patient insurance and collect payments. Manage filing, scanning, and faxing of various medical documentation. Assist physicians by managing the clinic, rooming patients, taking vital signs, and recording chief complaints. Perform charting for physicians using the Cerner EMR system (familiarity with EMR systems is necessary, but Cerner experience is not required). Assist with minor procedures. Ensure tools are sterilized and exam rooms are clean and prepared for physicians. Qualifications 2+ years MA or Front Desk experience. MA and Front Desk experience in a clinic setting strongly preferred. Skills Proficiency with EMR systems (experience with Cerner is a plus). Strong communication and organizational skills. Additional Requirements Available to work Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Benefits Paid Sick Leave (Medix provides paid sick leave according to state and local sick leave ordinances).
