Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Medical Assistant/Receptionist to join our healthcare team. This vital role combines front-office administrative support with clinical assistance, ensuring a seamless patient experience from check-in to treatment. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. You will play a key role in managing patient interactions, supporting clinical procedures, and maintaining efficient clinic operations. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate smooth check-in and check-out processes Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking patient histories, preparing exam rooms, and supporting procedures in outpatient settings Support intake procedures including scheduling appointments, updating patient records, and managing referrals Perform basic clinical duties like administering medications under supervision, collecting specimens, and assisting with X-ray or other diagnostic procedures Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, ICD coding for diagnoses, and ensure compliance with health regulations Manage administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, handling insurance verifications, and managing patient correspondence Qualifications Prior experience in dermatology, hospital medicine, urgent care, or emergency medicine strongly preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding standards Experience working in hospital or Level I/II trauma center environments is advantageous Proficiency with EHR systems and medical administrative support functions Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent required Familiarity with inpatient and outpatient care settings including Geriatrics, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), Medical-surgical units, or OR experience is a plus Strong communication skills with a focus on patient service and care excellence Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment Join us to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while advancing your career in healthcare!
