Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Podiatry Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will support podiatrists in providing comprehensive foot and ankle care within the outpatient setting. This role involves direct patient interaction, clinical support, and administrative duties to ensure efficient clinic operations. Candidates with experience in medical administrative support are highly encouraged to apply. A strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and EHR systems is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities Assist podiatrists during patient examinations and procedures, including intake and vital signs measurement Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize equipment for podiatric procedures Document patient information accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems Support patient care activities such as medication administration, wound care, and dressing changes Perform basic diagnostic tasks including X-ray assistance and ICD coding as needed Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments and follow-up visits efficiently Provide excellent patient service by addressing questions and ensuring comfort throughout visits Assist with documentation related to anatomy, physiology, and medical history relevant to foot and ankle health Maintain compliance with infection control protocols and safety standards Experience Prior experience in hospital medicine, urgent care, or outpatient clinics is preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration is essential Experience working with EHR systems and performing intake procedures is highly desirable Exposure to X-ray procedures or OR experience in a podiatric or surgical setting is a plus Background working in Level I or Level II trauma centers or Geriatrics is advantageous Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred Previous roles supporting inpatient or outpatient podiatric care will be considered an asset This position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic healthcare environment dedicated to foot and ankle health. Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
