Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Medical Assistant for an exciting Travel or Local job in Rockford, IL.

Responsibilities:

Greet and room patients in a professional and friendly manner Schedule appointments and manage patient communications Answer and direct incoming phone calls Record patient vitals and medical information accurately Perform phlebotomy/venipuncture and assist with lab procedures Administer vaccines and provide clinical support as needed Perform Point of Care Testing as required Assist with EKG testing when needed Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems (preferably Athena EMR) Support daily clinic operations and collaborate with healthcare staff Collect patient fees and assist with front desk support duties

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year of Medical Assistant experience (excluding externship) Medical Assistant Certification preferred Phlebotomy/venipuncture and EMR experience required Recent experience with rooming patients, vitals, and scheduling required Occupational Health experience strongly preferred EKG testing experience preferred Point of Care Testing experience preferred BLS/CPR certification preferred Strong communication, organizational, and computer skills High attention to detail and ability to work in a team environment For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
