The role involves assisting with surgical specimen dissection, frozen section evaluation, and postmortem examinations. Schedule Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM-6:00 PM (5x8s) Occasional Saturday coverage may be required 1 Saturday per month on call

N/A Job Summary Provide anatomic pathology support under the direction of a Pathologist Assist with preparation, gross description, and dissection of surgical specimens Support postmortem examinations and documentation of findings Key Responsibilities Perform gross examination, description, and dissection of human surgical specimens Assist with frozen section evaluation Select tissue samples for analysis Perform cryotomy and staining for intraoperative evaluation Assist with postmortem examinations Ensure accurate documentation and specimen handling Required Qualifications Minimum 1 year of relevant Pathologist Assistant experience Completion of an accredited Pathology Assistant Training Program Pathologist's Assistant certification through ASCP required Active Illinois state licensure required Submission Requirements Completed cover page (including any RTO details) Resume with detailed summary Skills checklist Copies of required certifications and licensure
