Full Job Description Job Description:
Certified Medical Assistant We are seeking a dedicated and professional Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to provide clinical and administrative support in a fast‑paced outpatient medical office. This role is essential to ensuring efficient daily operations while delivering high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor. You will work closely with providers and patients, supporting a wide range of activities related to patient care, communication, and administrative coordination. Accuracy, efficiency, and professionalism are key to success in this role. Key Responsibilities Respond to general patient questions regarding medical information Answer, screen, and return phone calls in a timely and courteous manner Schedule patient appointments Scan and upload documents into the electronic health record (EHR) system, Knowledge of CareCloud a plus Manage emails and assigned tasks within the EHR system Assist clinical staff with patient rooming and intake procedures Qualifications & Skills Proven experience working as a Medical Assistant Strong knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures Experience working within an electronic health record (EHR) system Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize Strong customer service mindset with social perceptiveness Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational and planning abilities Preferred experience in prior authorizations in procedure, surgery and medications. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly learn new clinical software systems Degree in Medical Assisting preferred Experience Requirements Certified Medical Assistant (CMA): Minimum 1 year (required) Work Location In-person position This role supports CPSS and requires weekly rotation between Avon, Lafayette and other office locations.
