Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in the behavioral health setting. This role is essential in providing high-quality patient service and ensuring smooth operations within our clinic. Duties Assist nursing and clinical staff in monitoring clients' physical health and documenting vital signs, withdrawal symptoms, and behavioral observations. Prepare clients for assessments and treatments; ensure confidentiality and comfort during all interactions. Collect specimens for lab testing, perform CLIA-waived tests, and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR). Support medication management processes, including organizing medication carts, maintaining accurate counts, and assisting with medication passes under supervision. Monitor clients for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing or medical staff. Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers by collecting medical histories and updating records. Maintain inventory and ensure the cleanliness and readiness of medical equipment and supplies. Participate in infection control, safety, and emergency preparedness procedures in accordance with facility policies. Collaborate with nursing, clinical, and case management staff to support holistic patient care. Uphold HIPAA confidentiality standards and all federal and state regulatory requirements.
Requirements Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
Experience:
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health, detox, or medical setting preferred.

$16.00 - $23.00 per hour
