Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various clinical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital medicine, urgent care, and emergency medicine. This role involves providing exceptional patient care, supporting medical staff, and ensuring smooth clinic operations. Candidates with expertise in geriatrics, internal medicine, or medical-surgical environments will be highly valued. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic healthcare setting that emphasizes patient service, clinical excellence, and professional growth. This position is in our Walk-in clinic with hours from 11 am to 7 pm and rotating Saturday hours. Duties Perform patient intake procedures, including collecting medical histories and documenting vital signs using EHR systems Assist with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and safety Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and physician instructions Support physicians with diagnostic procedures such as X-ray imaging and other outpatient or inpatient tests Manage ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing processes Provide patient education on treatment plans, medication administration, and health maintenance Maintain clinical supplies and ensure the cleanliness of treatment areas in compliance with infection control standards Support medical administrative tasks including appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and documentation management in hospital or clinic settings Skills Proven experience in diverse healthcare environments such as hospital medicine and outpatient clinics. Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and patient care protocols across various specialties including dermatology, geriatrics, internal medicine, and emergency medicine Proficiency with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and ICD coding for documentation accuracy Ability to perform vital signs measurement, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) procedures Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations Experience with X-ray procedures or surgical support (medical-surgical or OR experience) is advantageous Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in clinical documentation and administrative support tasks This role is integral to delivering high-quality patient care across various healthcare settings. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence in all aspects of their work.
