Orthopaedic Associates is a fast-paced, 13-physician orthopaedic practice with four locations in Evansville and Newburgh, IN and Henderson, KY. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position. We are closed on the six major holidays and employees are eligible for holiday pay and insurance after completing their first 60 days of employment. We also offer a lucrative PTO plan and 401k with a matching component. This position would be expected to work from any of our four office locations, depending on scheduling needs. Schedules are posted well in advance and we pay mileage for any travel between offices during a work day. Hours are generally Monday
- Thursday, 7:15am
- 4:45pm and Friday 7:15am
- 12pm.
The Certified Clinical Assistant will assist the physicians and advance practice providers with total care for the patient. After taking patients to their rooms, the Certified Clinical Assistant will ensure that the patient is aware of the treatment that they will be receiving and complete any ordered treatment as well as answer any questions the patient may have, under the guidance of the physician. When the physician is out of the office, the Certified Clinical Assistant will answer telephone encounters, schedule surgeries, review test, lab, and imagining results and notify the physician as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with minor procedures including splinting, casting, and removing staples and sutures Complete physician's orders for referrals, tests, diagnostic imaging, and follow up appointments Maintain exam rooms and assigned pod for cleanliness and appropriate materials Relay phone messages from the patient to the provider and return patient's call Initiate and complete the surgery referral process Update physician's outlook schedule Review labs and documents and discuss findings and treatment with physician as needed Act as the physician liaison between patients and the doctors in regards to patient questions and concerns Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with company policies and procedures Associates or bachelor's degree from accredited college/university and clinical certification/license required (RN, LPN, CMA, Athletic Trainer), Epic experience preferred, clinical experience preferred but not required. Proficiency with computer software applications including Excel and Word Warm and pleasant attitude with a willingness to help physicians, patients, and scribes Must be able to perform in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multitask Excellent communication skills and work habits
