Medical Assistant Summit Radiology - 4.0 Fort Wayne, IN Job Details Full-time 2 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Electronic health records (EHR) management Computer skills Medical assisting Managing patient records Full Job Description The Medical Assistant (MA) in the Interventional Radiology (IR) clinic supports physicians, nurses, and patients in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in an outpatient clinc setting. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Duties Prepare patients for the provider, including vital signs, medical histories, and medication reconciliation Set up rooms, ensuring proper equipment, supplies, and cleanliness Complete all charting requirements Maintain infection control and safety standards Perform follow-up calls and documentation as needed Qualifications Required Current certification or education in medical assisting; experience also considered. Minimum of one year of clinical experience in a physician office, specialty clinic, hospital, or related healthcare setting. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Experience using electronic medical records and managing clinical communications. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent patient care, communication, and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Proficiency with EHR systems and basic computer applications Physical Requirements Ability to lift and assist patients (up to ~50 lbs with assistance) Manual dexterity for clinical tasks Ability to stand for extended periods Frequent standing, walking, and assisting patients with mobility Exposure to medical equipment, bodily fluids, and stressful situations Performance Expectations Timely response to calls, emails, portal messages, and assigned tasks. Accurate documentation and task completion. Effective communication with patients, providers, and referring offices. High level of professionalism, reliability, and customer service. Consistent adherence to clinic workflows, policies, and quality standards. Contribution to efficient patient care and continuity of services within the Interventional Radiology practice.
