Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Medical Assistant to join our Contingent Labor Team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive support to healthcare providers and ensure exceptional patient care across various medical settings, including outpatient clinics, hospital environments, and specialized units. Your proactive approach will help streamline clinical operations, enhance patient experiences, and uphold the highest standards of medical service. Responsibilities Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and recording vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort throughout their visit Support clinical procedures across diverse specialties such as dermatology, emergency medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, and more Administer medications and injections following proper protocols and maintain accurate documentation of medication administration Operate and maintain EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems to document patient information accurately and securely Conduct basic diagnostic procedures including X-ray imaging and other outpatient or inpatient assessments as required Support hospital-based teams with ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or Level I/II trauma center activities, ensuring compliance with safety standards and protocols Skills Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures Experience working in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, outpatient clinics, or medical-surgical units with Level I or Level II trauma center exposure Familiarity with dermatology practices, urgent care settings, Geriatrics, internal medicine clinics, and hospital experience is highly desirable Proficiency in using EHR systems for documentation and patient record management Ability to perform vital signs collection accurately and efficiently in both inpatient and outpatient environments Excellent patient service skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient populations including geriatrics and pediatric patients in PICU settings Basic life support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire Experience with X-ray equipment operation or OR (Operating Room) experience is a plus Knowledge of medical-surgical procedures and familiarity with hospital protocols for intake and discharge processes Join us to be part of a vibrant team committed to delivering outstanding patient care through professionalism, compassion, and technical excellence.
