Job Description

Indiana Foot & Ankle offers customized podiatric treatments to Jasper, IN, and the entire tri-state area. We are committed to providing excellent foot care to assist our patients in leading the lives they aspire to. We are searching for a full-time Medical Assistant. Skills and Qualifications:

Brief Job Description:
(Not all-inclusive) As a Medical Assistant at Indiana Foot & Ankle, you are responsible for assisting the provider and patients from arrival to departure. Your goal is to ensure the patient is triaged in a friendly and timely manner and effectively communicate with providers and staff regarding patient care. Some key points for the position: Assist patient to the procedure room Verify patient information and obtain patient history and vitals. Assist provider with minor procedures and/or patient education. Apply topical medications, dressings, and/or castings. Obtain X-rays and additional imaging. (qualified candidates will receive certification on behalf of Indiana Foot & Ankle) Assist with custom orthotic scans and other dispensing of DME. Ensure appropriate forms are accurately completed. Assist the provider with referrals and orders. Guide patients to check out and assist with scheduling. Disinfect/Sterilize all equipment, tools, and procedure rooms Answer patient questions, return voicemails Effectively communicate with providers and staff regarding patient care. Stay knowledgeable in office policies and procedures Follow HIPPA Guidelines Keep rooms and nursing stations stocked, organized, and clean. Chart/document all necessary medical assistant encounters.

Monday/Thursday 8:00am-4:30 pm
Tuesdays:
8:00 am-6:30pm
Wednesdays:
8:00am-12:30pm
Friday:
8:00 am-4 pm
