Job Description

CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT
Are you looking for a challenging position with supportive co-workers who value the patient and an organization that values your contributions? Indiana Spine Group is looking to add a Certified Medical Assistant for our surgeons Dr. John Gorup and Dr. Mario Brkaric to our practice in Lafayette, Indiana. We are a growing physician owned specialty practice with multiple locations in central Indiana. We are committed to providing excellent care for our patients and in turn understand the importance ofproviding the same to our employees. Team work is emphasized as well as each employee's responsibility for individual work load.
What you will be doing:
Rooming patients and taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, sanitizing exam rooms after visits. Assisting with medical records- scanning, copying and filing Assisting with obtaining Prior Authorization for procedures Completing forms Treating each patient with the utmost courtesy and respect Any additional tasks that would involve the care of the patient What we are looking for: Candidates who have graduated from a medical assistant program and are certified. Minimum of 1 year as a medical assistant in a physician office. Experience with Spine/Orthopedic helpful, but not required. Great verbal communication Previous experience with electronic medical records systems: Cerner preferred, but not required Genuine caring for others
